There are not many cafes in the Old City of Jerusalem. You will usually see a niche with a small gas stove and a telephone. The owner will receive a call, prepare and send the caller a tray with fragrant cups of coffee, tea with hyssop or mint and maybe something sweet as well. Most of these places will use the coffee they bought at Sanduka, the best coffee in Jerusalem.
Sanduka have been brewing Arab coffee with or without cardamom since 1943 in a traditional way that respects coffee and its drinkers.
