All About Wine
I offer you a different view of Israel as we discover its wine. We can visit wineries in special Terroirs or taste them together with a conversation. If you have passion for wine and you want to explore the Israeli wine – let's do it together! I stepped into the wine world by mistake (or should I say: by divine intervention) in 1994. It was love from first taste. Since then, I learned and tasted a lot, I visit the wineries of Israel regularly and the European ones as much as I can. Let me introduce the Israeli wine to you:
You are welcome to my house for a tasting workshop.
We'll taste and talk about wine in this land for the last 4000 years.
Does Israel have a tradition of making wine or is it a new industry?
Are there different Terrroirs in Israel? Which grapes are at their best here?
We'll try to answer those questions together.
The wine will be served with refreshments. For example: good bread, butter and home made aioli, quiches, fine cheese and vegetables. Sweet: truffles and home made marzipan. Or you can have a Wine tasting with a meal. We'll taste and talk about wine over dinner (or lunch). We'll start with a short lecture and continue with dinner. Each course will be accompanied by special wine that fits it.
Wine tasting at your hotel (or different location):
Is your schedule tight? How about ease it a little…with wine, of course. Would you like us to meet at your hotel for one hour of wine tasting? Or would you like us to meet at a beautiful location, such as Governor's Palace Promenade or Bloomfield garden next to the King David hotel)? You can watch the sunset, taste wine, talk about the beginning of making good wine in Israel and just breathe in all this beauty.
For real wine lovers I offer half a day or a whole day between local wineries. We'll visit three or four wineries at your favorite Terroir: Jerusalem Mountains, Galilee or the Negev. You will meet the Vintners, taste their wine with them. We'll have a picnic lunch at midday. Doesn't it sound just perfect?
